LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Humana Military Healthcare Services (HMHS) announced today a new toll-free number that is available for active duty service members (ADSMs) and their families to call for behavioral health assistance. The number, 877-298-3514, will be operational December 21, 2007, and provide assistance in locating behavioral health providers and scheduling behavioral health appointments.

HMHS prides itself on providing exceptional guidance to our military and their families when they need it most, said Dave Baker, president and CEO of HMHS. A telephone number, solely dedicated to assist active duty service members and their families, many of whom have only a short period of time to seek behavioral health services, provides such guidance.

Staff will be available to assess the needs of callers and offer assistance for making timely routine and urgent appointments with mental health providers. The number will be available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. in all times zones within the South region.
