LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Humana Military Healthcare Services (HMHS) announced today a new toll-free number that is available for active duty service members (ADSMs) and their families to call for behavioral health assistance. The number, 877-298-3514, will be operational December 21, 2007, and provide assistance in locating behavioral health providers and scheduling behavioral health appointments.

Staff will be available to assess the needs of callers and offer assistance for making timely routine and urgent appointments with mental health providers. The number will be available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. in all times zones within the South region.
HMHS, headquartered in Louisville, KY., has been a Department of Defense contractor for the administration of the TRICARE program since July 1, 1996. In August 2003, HMHS was awarded the contract to provide health benefits support and services to approximately 2.8 million active duty and retired military and their eligible family members in the 10-state South Region.
