LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Humana Military Healthcare Services (HMHS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Humana Inc., won first place for their website in the 2007 e-Healthcare Leadership Awards for “Best eBusiness Site.” This leading awards program, now in its eighth year, recognizes the best websites of healthcare providers, health plans, healthcare associations, online health companies, pharmaceutical/medical equipment firms, suppliers, other healthcare organizations, and business improvement initiatives.
“We take great efforts in making our website user-friendly and providing useful quality information to our beneficiaries,” said Dave Baker, president and CEO for HMHS. “Winning this award reinforces our promise to be the most trusted name in military healthcare solutions.”
The eHealthcare Leadership Awards recognize the hard work that goes into creating outstanding health websites. Criteria for winning the “Best e-Business Site” category included having a website that supports the business operations of the company, how well the site supports beneficiary services and refers consumers to physicians.
Judging for this competition was an independent panel of individuals familiar with healthcare and the internet who evaluated each entry and website. They were rated on how they compared with other entries within their awards category and how consistent they were with other leading websites in and outside the healthcare industry.
Over 1,100 entries were received from a wide range of healthcare organizations. This is the second Web award for HMHS to receive in 2007. To view the HMHS website, please go to: www.humana-military.com.
