LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Humana Military Healthcare Services (HMHS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM), received Health Website Accreditation from URAC, a Washington, D.C. based healthcare accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the industry.

Humana Military is pleased to receive Website Accreditation from URAC, said Dave Baker, president and CEO of HMHS. We are honored to be recognized in the industry for providing a credible website with quality health information to our beneficiaries and providers.

URACs Health Website Accreditation standards ensure that websites are meeting the highest standard in the industry and assures consumers that a companys website is trustworthy. The program provides feedback to website owners on how to improve online operations, including: privacy and security, health content, disclosure of financial relationships, linking policies, and consumer complaints.

Humana Military also has current URAC accreditation for Case Management, Disease Management Asthma, Disease Management Heart Failure, Health Network, HIPAA Privacy, and Utilization Management.

URAC, an independent, nonprofit organization, is a leader in promoting health care quality through accreditation and certification programs.
