Humana Completes Successful Implementation of TriZetto's CareAdvance Enterprise Software

System Automates Continuum of Care, Improves Productivity and Extends Reach of Medical Management Programs

(NYSE: HUM), one of the nation's largest publicly-traded health benefits companies, has transitioned the first phase of its commercial membership to TriZettos Clinical CareAdvance software, one of two modules that comprise TriZettos total CareAdvance Enterprise solution. CareAdvance Enterprise automates all aspects of care management, creating significant productivity improvements for medical management and enabling health plans to guide consumers on making better health decisions that can lower medical costs and improve health outcomes.

TriZetto designed Clinical CareAdvance to be an open and highly flexible platform, so that health plans using various core administrative systems can benefit from the technologys functionality. Built on an advanced service oriented architecture (SOA), the software can integrate easily into Humanas IT environment. Clinical CareAdvances data interface package also makes it easy for health plans to exchange information with multiple internal and external systems, resulting in a cohesive technology environment spanning insourced and outsourced activities. When the software integration project is fully completed, Clinical CareAdvance will work seamlessly with Humanas claims payment systems, as well as the third-party system that Humana uses to stratify, route and manage candidates for case and disease management programs.
