LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Baby Boomers are redefining retirement. They want to travel more, follow their passions or pursue a second career. But they can’t do any of it without their health.

That’s why the health benefits company Humana has launched a program, including an online community, aimed at helping Baby Boomers get the best out of retirement. RealforMe.com features tips on topics like money, travel and, of course, health.

The site is divided into four sections: Work, Self, Family and Play. Each section features an expert blogger who writes about that topic. The blog is surrounded by related content and useful links. Additionally, there are tools and resources available from industry leaders on retirement topics. For example, a search engine powered by Retirementjobs.com provides visitors with listings of jobs at employers that are age friendly. RealforMe.com also includes social networking through Eons.com and grand-parenting advice from GRAND magazine. If they chose to do so, visitors can receive monthly newsletter updates from REAL.

RealforMe.com is free and available to all, but is especially geared toward Baby Boomers, which is the generation of more than 75 million people who were born between 1946 and 1964. Boomers have remade every decade as they have grown older, and now as they approach retirement, they’re proving that it’s all about attitude, not age.

As part of this new Web site launch, anyone who visits the site now can request a free Retirement For Dummies® book developed exclusively for Humana by Wiley Publishing, Inc. The book is available as a hard copy or via digital download.

“At Humana, we pride ourselves in providing ‘Guidance when you need it most,’” said Jim Murray, Humana’s chief operating officer. “Baby Boomers, in particular, are hungry for guidance right now as they enter the unchartered world of retirement in uncertain times. That’s the inspiration behind the REAL program.”

“We’ve tried to assemble all the information and interaction boomers will need in one convenient place and are committed to regularly enhancing our site to meet their changing needs,” he added. “It’s our hope that this information might guide boomers to a healthier lifestyle, prepare them for choosing the right health plan or give them an idea of how much savings they’ll need for retirement.”
