Public Company Information:

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) announced today the enhancement of their Humana Gold Choice private-fee-for-service plan in Bonneville County. Beginning on Nov. 15, Medicare-eligible seniors can enjoy a lower, or, in some cases $0 monthly premium when they enroll in the Humana Gold Choice plan.

This 2008 enhancement, approved by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, builds upon the already available plans in the area, and focuses on providing greater choice to meet the changing needs of seniors in the market.

The Humana Gold Choice private-fee-for-service plan provides seniors with affordable alternatives to original Medicare or a Medicare supplement plan. Members have all the benefits of original Medicare and prescription drug coverage, with the flexibility to see almost any doctor they choose. The plan also offers no co-payments for preventive services, including cancer screenings and immunizations, prescription drug coverage of the top 100 drugs, a no or low monthly premium and self-referrals to specialists.

As baby boomers and seniors age, their insurance needs change. Were committed to changing our Medicare product offerings to meet them where they are in their health care experience, said Debbie Smith, regional president of Senior Products for Humanas Western region. Weve listened to seniors about what they want and leveraged our experience in health benefits to give them more options that fit their health needs. The enhancement of our product offerings in Bonneville County shows our commitment to ensuring all seniors have access to the right plan for them.

Medicare-eligible seniors throughout the Bonneville County area continue to have the choice of Humana's Part D plans, which provide prescription drug coverage to those enrolled in other Medicare plans.

Humana Medicare Advantage is an alternative to traditional Medicare, not a supplement. For more information about enrolling in any Humana plans, visit or call toll-free 1-800-833-6578.
