Humana Military Healthcare Services Appoints Former Senior Enlisted Defense Official to Advisory Board

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Humana Military Healthcare Services (HMHS) announces the appointment of former Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs, Lawrence (Larry) W. Holland to its Advisory Board. The HMHS Advisory Board was formed to provide guidance and insight into the changing needs of the military healthcare environment.

In February 2007, Holland was appointed by the Secretary of Defense as a panel member on the Independent Review Group on Rehabilitative Care and Administrative Processes at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and National Naval Medical Center. He currently serves as an Ambassador for the U.S. Army Reserves in Texas, a consultant to the Congressional Commission on the Guard and Reserve and in 2005 was a member of the Defense Science Board. He is the President of LWH, Inc., a consulting firm for supply chain management. Holland has 37 years of active-duty and reserve service in the U.S Army. Holland retired as a Command Sergeant Major In February 2007.
