Humana of Utah Selects Large Group Practice Leader

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Russell T. Raddon has been named Large Group Practice Leader for Humana Inc.s (NYSE: HUM) Utah commercial health insurance business, in an announcement made by Earl F. Hurst, market president.

With 17 years of experience working for insurance carriers, employers and multi-specialty medical groups, Raddon will be responsible for new sales, account management, sales administration and retention of large-group customers of 100 or more employees located throughout Utah. Humana offers a diverse portfolio of affordable consumer-focused insurance products in Utah featuring important new choices and flexibility to businesses and consumers.

Russ is a proven, experienced sales professional with a unique industry background and expertise, said Hurst. His 17 years of experience in the health care industry will be invaluable to Humana in promoting not only our traditional health insurance products but our innovative consumer-focused products as well.

Raddon comes to Humana with extensive experience in executive-level and sales leadership roles. From 2005 to 2008, Raddon served as a vice president for Moreton & Companys satellite office in Denver. Moreton is a full-service insurance and consultant firm headquartered in Salt Lake City.

Raddon also worked in a variety of roles with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Denver; for five years with University Physicians, Inc. in Denver; and for two years with Lutheran General Medical Group in Park Ridge, IL, in the physician practice management field.

Raddon earned a Masters in Business Administration degree from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University. He has worked with several charitable and service organizations including St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, United Way and Boy Scouts of America.
