Kevin Meriwether Named Division Leader for Humana’s East Region Medicare Division

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kevin Meriwether has assumed the role of Division Leader for Humana Inc.’s (NYSE: HUM) Medicare division in the East Region, which includes Indiana, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Washington, DC and Delaware.

In this role, Meriwether is responsible for operational oversight of Humana’s Medicare HMO and PPO health plans, Medicare prescription drug plans, Medicare supplement policies, and private fee-for-service health plans offered to people eligible for Medicare in the East Region. Humana has approximately 650,000 Medicare members in the East Region.

Meriwether joined Humana in January 1991 in Corporate Finance and has held numerous leadership roles in market operations. Meriwether has been Regional Market President –Senior Products since 2007 for the majority of markets in the newly realigned East Division and has been successful in consistently growing market share and migrating Private Fee For Service markets to Coordinated Care Plans (PPO and HMO).

Meriwether graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor of science in business, with a major in accounting. He holds a Certified Public Accounting license with the Commonwealth of Kentucky and is a member of the American Institute of Public Accounting.
