Humana Names Betty Assapimonwait Regional President

Seasoned Florida health care executive will lead Humana’s Medicare operations in South Florida

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) announced today that Betty Assapimonwait will assume the role of Regional President for Humana’s South Florida Medicare market, effective Aug.1.

In her new role, Assapimonwait will be responsible for continued development and expansion of Humana’s Medicare business in South Florida, and for staff leadership across all business and operations within those markets.

Assapimonwait currently serves as Market President of Family Physicians Group in Central Florida, where her leadership, since December 2016, has led to improved patient outcomes and patient panel growth at the company’s 22 senior-focused primary care medical centers.

Bringing 35 years of Managed Healthcare experience to her new Humana role, Assapimonwait’s senior-level roles have included MSO Global Risk, National Medicare and Medicare Market leadership, including serving as Humana’s North Florida Medicare leader for five years.

Assapimonwait, who resides in Miami, will report to Stewart and will be based in Miramar, FL.
